As the title indicates, I have chosen to participate in Pokerstars promotion for pokerblog writers. In this I need to motivate what I would spend the main prize on - should I win.Therefore this post. As a faithful reader of this blog would know - I have substantially minimized my poker playing do to TWO important reasons.
This being my two wonderful boys Jonathan and Alexander. Being a dad for means being there for them - and thus having a lot less time to one of mine favorite pass times - namely playing the great skill game of poker!
But - I do love my new role as a father and they are my pride and joy!
Having the new Danish on-line gambling legislation and Pokerstars having a licence now means that it can pay for us to actually play at Pokerstars due to the tax exemptions :) Therefore the WBCOOP is of importance to me.
Apart from spending time with these two small wonders - A prize would come in very handy to provide me with the opportunity to actually play fewer but more exclusive tournaments. Which I only could do before, since I could grind my way through qualifiers - something that I don´t have the time for at the moment.
I would love to be able to put myself up against a bunch of my fellow pokerblog writers and with the chance to actually win SCOOP tickets and prove myself against the elite on-line players and see if and old lawyer could teach them a trick or two :)
I also have my goal for 2012 in sight - the great aim for the year (at my rate - maybe also for 2013). Is to be able to give myself my highest material wish - namely the Rolex clock which I have wanted for years and which retails at exactly at the amount of the first prize - if that is not a coincidence worth pursuing - I don't know what is - it is as Pokerstars with this promotion simply had me in mind!!!!
Knowing myself though - I am quite sure that I will raid the nearest toyshop with gifts for the boys should I win - and quite positively and little piece for my wonderful wife also needed to be shopped - that could lead to the added benefit of me having the chance to spend a small amount of other tournaments.
Which leads to the last item which I would use a prize for - a entry to an EPT tournament. I have participated at one and would love a chance to get back in it with another go - knowing the set-up is in my view a huge advantage and I am quite sure I could get it to work for me - and who would not like the chance to take down a EPT title in his homecountry !!!
Well, I have a little time to actually log some time at the tables tonight. I have made a entry to the big11 and lets see what that brings of luck :)
